I want to point out that a weakly comic costumed person standing for election against the most consequential political figure of the last 15 years or so reminds me miserably of how we mocked the figureheads and supporters of Brexit. And then lost the referendum. I want to tell them that smug superiority is a pathetic cope, masking the fact that they have no idea how to engage with culturally conservative ideas.
My social class is a political monoculture. This has never been as apparent as it was during a recent fortnight spent in Britain.
