Recipes are good...

If you want a new twist, that same disillusioned audience is starving for some ideas on what to do to right the ship/turn things around/smell the roses/anything. I believe we are all pretty convinced about how bad everything is/will be. There is a paucity of decent writing on what to do about it.

Glad your fog is clearing!

“I'm bored by all the outrage and fear, the endless moral calibration of every human peccadillo, the relentless doomerism that fills almost every digital moment.” Yes!!

I’ve been weaning myself off all the opinionating. I used to find value in the non-MSM writing and “news,” helping me broaden my understanding of the different dynamics at play. Although now that I reflect on this, I am not sure that I am better off.

Is there more to the story (the narrative, if you will) than is on the surface? Yes. You only need to read history to know that the information made public is never the full story, nor even necessarily accurate. Same as it ever was. How do I benefit knowing the ins and outs or the sociological and psychological underpinnings? It’s just made me unhappy—over dynamics I can’t change, assuming that my preferred sources are even correct.

I feel like I’ve Iet others steal my life. So I’ve been trying to focus on cultivating what makes me feel alive. It’s definitely a two steps forward one step back process.
